maria ingold's reality

My life started in the surreal environment of a small town in New Mexico, near where they first drop-tested the atom bomb. I'm sure that explains a few things. At age 2, I drew my first face. At 7, in the basement of a military installation, I was first exposed to programming. By 9 I was writing stories and poetry. At 15 I got into fashion and modelling. So it wasn't a complete surprise that at 17 I went to university to study Computer Science and Fine Art. I've since designed and delivered a number of complex but creative technical projects around the world. Now I'm working with emerging technologies in film distribution, writing my novel and getting my art show together, but living in London as a dual national - which is, of course, not surreal at all.

artist I specialize in watercolours and oil paintings. My current project is a series on portals - looking through something to someting else. I also have a very unique follow-on project - I have synaesthesia so I see everyone's name in colour. Commissions welcome! film maker I have been a director, cinematographer, and an editor for several short films. Please feel free to contact me for collaborative efforts.
